Low-Income Housing Rehabilitation Mini-Grant Program

The City of Big Rapids offers the Housing Rehabilitation Mini-Grant Program provides small reimbursement grants of $500.00 or less to low-income City homeowners to make needed repairs and improvements to the exterior of their property. Examples of qualified projects include siding repair, exterior painting, sidewalk repair or replacement, and roof, porch, or window repair.

Mini-grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis until available funds have been expended. This program is for owner-occupied properties only; rental units will not be considered. Homeowners who have previously received mini-grant funds must wait a full year before re-applying.
