Fire Prevention and Education

Nationally, fires, fire related injuries and deaths are on the decline thanks to great fire prevention and education programs.   The Big Rapids Fire Division is a proactive department which takes pride in its fire prevention program.  The Fire Division reaches 1,500 kids annually, visiting schools and daycares within the city of Big Rapids during the month of October.  The schools and day cares visited are:
